Gigi wrote last day in june, that he postponed it, so i guess he will release it june 2011, if it was not for the italian government...

Counting the days till the unknown... its already spring...
Would be so nice to hear any official from Gigi's side. 
I mean anything... a full HQ cover... the first alphabet of the first track of the first CD... a free track (gift) to the fans till' Mondo Reale comes out (like he gifted other tracks on gigidagostino.com back in time - Summer of Energy for example)... a statement that it will surely be released this year no matter what happens... anything.

11th May... its more than a year now from the previous announcement (05th May 2011), and everything is so quiet as possible... maybe its not coming this year either...
BTW: could somebody explain me whats going on with Gigi? On his facebook profile you can see resting cows from front, while on his facebook band page there are cows assholes... besides this, yesterday he changed his facebook CasaDAG profile picture to a big white nothing (blank picture), instead of the previous image, which was Mondo Reale's cover (if i remember right). What's the point there, are these cows some kind of joke which i don't get or... dafaq?

Anyway on 9th of July he will play at "Montecitorio Rock Festival" (IT, Frosinone). Maybe that has something to do with the album release (debut show)? Somehow its interesting that he is taking part on a "rock festival"...

If you look through the MR thread on Casa dag, you will see that it is 332 pages filled with people who have fantastic insight in the music distribution business. Who all know when Gigi is going to release his next cd, even before he does!

I wonder what is the real reason behind Gigi's total silence about the disc... the thing that is sooo freakin' mysterious that he can't share it with us, instead just keeps posting to other topics on CasaDag - like if nobody gives a damn about "Mondo Reale" - and he pretends like the topic doesn't even exists & no new post were written there... thats just ridiculous! 
What could be so serious and mysterious?
- Lost all of his project files and theres no backup, so he has to recreate everything? (guess not)
- He just don't have the money to release anything? (maybe he spent it all for the Captain DAG dresses & accessories?)
- He no longer has a contract with a disc publisher company (possible - facebook: "disc publisher: non lo so")?
- He just doesn't give a sh!t about anything anymore and became apathetic?
- He cares about things just not about his fans... ?
- After 3 years he still didn't had the time to finish & master all of the tracks which he wants to release / he's not interested in finishing them?
- He still don't know what to release? (then why would he open a topic about a disc, which is coming "da fine giugno")
- He's waiting for legal actions (like requesting rights from original artists / publishers, 'cause maybe he wants to release remixes / own versions of other artist's songs?)
- He'd like to release a disc with which he breaks into every country, and brings him back again to one of the most played artist of the radio stations? (would be hard, he should release a house / dubstep disc to make it happen...)
I was fool to believe that he would release it in 2012's end of June... but at least i thought he will say ANYTHING about this damn disc. But no, he's so awesome & legendary that he don't have to say anything, why would he do that, he's GIGI.

You're making a lot of assumptions there..
Gigi has never been much of a family dad, so that's probably the reason he's not keeping us updated.
If I were you I would just consider Mondo Reale cancelled.
That's a reasonable assumption considering the unreasonable delay.
We will probably never know the reason..

If he doesn't have money to make the discs, well then he should just release digital. (Or release on WYGO lolololol) I bet he's got enough finished / releasable stuff for at least 3 or 4 digital albums!!

Yeah, we forgot about Il Cammino Compilation, and then half decade later we got Ieri e Oggi Mix 1 & 2 with amazing "new" tracks like "Parole Parole", "Like a Prayer", "Those were the days" and many others lol. And the real new track's length (like "Per Comunicare") on those discs are about 1 or max 2 minutes, yay! Thats what i call surprise...
Btw i agree, if the disc is postponed just because of financial reasons (which is a sensitive topic, so i could understand if he wouldn't want to post it), he could still release it digitally anytime.
Or what about releasing EP's, or singles... ? He could release an EP before the new album comes (like back in time, Underconstruction Vol. 1 in 2003 before the L'Amour Toujours 2 in 2004...), so that way we could shut our mouth, 'cuz there would be something new from him that we can listen to...

If this is the case, and deep inside his mind Gigi already knows that it's cancelled and he won't release it at all, then he's definitely making a fool of us... 'cause its enough to just look on the CasaDag live flyer on the top of the forum, and you already see the Mondo Reale's cover, which reminds us day-to-day of the new material which is still not released yet... and anyone can recognize that he doesn't gives a damn about the disc just by checking the topic's first post, which he still hasn't modified ("l'album č disponibile da fine giugno")...
You know, it's like showing a delicious, meaty flesh to your dog / cat, then just hold it in the air high enough that the pet sees it in your hand, but cannot catch it...

Look, I'm not saying anything is the case, I'm saying it's delayed beyond any reason and you therefore should consider it cancelled - that's a far more likely conclusion than almost anything else whatever the reason might be.
That he displays cow pictures or the mondo reale cover in casadag doesn't tell us anything at all.. A point I apparently failed to deliver in post #132 -since you didn't get it. Maybe he has a sucky webmaster, maybe he doesn't give a damn or maybe he just didn't remove it..
Sometimes I just don't vacuum clean, although I probably should...

I think the reason is that it is not profitable, either in time or money.
The benefits of the disc can be either equal to one week of gigi's life.On the other hand is much more comfortable going to a club for playings his songs, than be fighting for the rights of a song, talking to the label, working in the studio to tweak and master...
If finally one day a disc will be made, it will be by way of give a joy to his fans, but not as a business

Why this constant need to talk about this release??
He announced it in 2009 and again in May 2011. Other than that we have only gotten vague unimportant comments by Gigi. NOTHING to substantiate a possible release has been said at all. Not the slightest hint of a proof of anything.
I may sound angry and actually I am. When I see a message has just been posted in this thread a small spark of hope is always revived, just to be crushed when I see that it is yet another member asking us about our opinion about what is happening.
Nothing is happening.
When I see the flyer on Casa Dag I see a design reminiscent of something that might once have been but no more.
And finally a rhetorical question; What does the Il Cammino Compilation have to do with Ieri e Oggi Mix?

My intellectual skills are not that weak CFE, i also got your point from the very beginning. I just thought a topic is for talk about given things (no matter its released, postponed or anything), and related topics to this given thing, so i basically wrote the post #138 thinking that maybe we can sort it out together that what's going on (or get as close to the "truth" as possible, even if - of course - we can't be sure that it's the real reason or not). I was curious regarding what others think about that unacceptable delay, thats all, sorry if i did hurt anyone's feelings with it...

Gigi have done that before...
He also annonce: "Laboratorio 4" for some years ago, but that never get release either...
it took 3-4 years when "Lento Violento ...e altre storie" get released, first with the name: "Lento Violento Compilation ...dove passa il futuro" and this cover:
so for Mondo Reale... forget all about it, until their come something.. or COMPLETE forget about it!
