Cheesy Cheese - 20 Years Late

When you click on my nickname, it says "Member for 18 years".
18 years ago, I was 16 years old, and already a massive italodance fan. I used to hang on french forums mostly, but by then my english was finally decent enough for me to start hanging on foreign places. I didn't know this place would be so influential for my life.

So many artists I discovered through this place, the endless discussions on here or through MSN, day and night.
Getting in touch with producers, getting to hear new tracks ahead of time, having to wait and build the hype on a release.
Trash talk some artists when they aimed for a different style or fall in love with an album etc.

Then came some IDP-born producers, Disc Jockeyz, Italian Rockaz to name a couple or ARC Records and other labels asking for inputs on tracklists...
Not to mention the parties happening in Denmark where many of the people here used to go, bringing artists in like DJ Power or Danijay etc.
I lived through these threads for years, from my parent's place in a small village in the south of France.

Then I finally met many of you on a trip to Denmark at Würden's place for a weekend filled with Italodance, booze and crepes.
Everyone was so lovely, i'll remember that forever, this was building up for so long it was amazing to finally make it all real. 
Sure it wasn't an overcrowded party with our favorite artists playing, but just a bunch of people passionate about the music, who gathered all together to celebrate it. 
How amazing is that, after all that time?

This obsession for music led me to work into the music industry and in my first few years, I managed to work and meet all the artists we talked for years. Gabry Ponte, Danijay, Prezioso, Molella, DJ Lhasa, the list is endless. 

Last summer, I had some time on the side, and decided it was finally time to go full circle and produce an album, with all the influences and styles from back then.
My intent was to re-capture the prime years of the genre.
Yes, it is cheesy, yes it straight to the point & naive, it's basically me at 16 years old, with italodance being the soundtrack of every moments.
The cherry on top being the full-circle moment by releasing it on IDP Records, exactly where it should be.

"20 Years Late" is an album for you guys.
It will take you to the world of Hotel Saint George, with a quick stop by Gabry Ponte, a cup of coffee with Gigi d'Ag, a space trip with Eiffel 65, a fantasy adventure with Mantero, an afternoon party on a beach with Provenzano DJ and a tiny peak into scandinavian eurodance. 
I hope you get a that rush of excitement when you listen to it, and that for a second you feel you're right back around 2000-2006.
