Interview with DJ Roby Pinna - 16th Oct 2006

IDP: Hello Roby Pinna! For those who don't know you, can you tell us about yourself, please?

DJ Roby Pinna: I’m an Italian Deejay - Producer . I’m crazy for Dance Music. I especially love the great and glorious 80’s italodance.

IDP: What can you tell us about the label you are running, NRG Records?

DJ Roby Pinna: I made NRG Records because i don’t wanna that someone says to me what kind of record I must make. And so i concluded an agreement with AMERICAN DISCO and DANCERIA for the distribution of my products.

IDP: Not many people know about your singers Keyra and Stefy, what can you tell us about them?

DJ Roby Pinna: Keyra is an International model. She is a wonderful girl and I love work with her because she has a true passion for dance music. Moreover she knows 4 languages perfectly and this is most important for our work. Stefy is the official speaker of my radios. She is fantastic, has a very sexy voice. I think she was perfect for “Missing You”.

IDP: What music styles are you listening to other than what you produce?

DJ Roby Pinna: I listen electro pop, chill-out, and easy rock….. and all music that give me emotions..

IDP: Who is/are you favorite artist(s)?

DJ Roby Pinna: DJ Tiesto and the Italian artist Luca Carboni.

IDP: What do you think is the future for Italo Dance music?

DJ Roby Pinna: I think the future of Italo Dance depends of us. In the next months we must work for improve the quality of our music. I think also the way to exceed this bad moment is work together.

IDP: What do you like to do on your spare time?

DJ Roby Pinna: I have a little spare time… My only love and passion is my son Matteo!! I spend all my spare time with him. To be a Daddy is my first work!!

IDP: What are your plans for the future?

DJ Roby Pinna: I’m working at my new single. And I’m preparing a collaboration with various famous and not famous names of EuroDance.

IDP: What news can you reveal for us about your future productions?

DJ Roby Pinna: I want to continue in this music style. Now I’m writing a lyrics of my new song. When I write a song, I hope that give emotions to who listen to it. Now I’m deciding a title.. can be “Run to You”, like a Brian Adams success.

IDP: What do you think about our site (italodanceportal.com)?

DJ Roby Pinna: I discover your site by an Italian Dance Forum: Foxato!! ( I wanna thank all my friends of Foxato!!)They are talking about ItalodancePortal, and so I wanted to visit it. I think is very serious and reliable. A good reference for all the Italodance deejays and fans.
