Interview with DANCEFIRE - 13 Oct 2006

IDP: Hello Dancefire! For those who don't know you, can you tell us about yourself, please?

Dancefire: We are Johannes, Armin and Michael and together we are Dancefire from Austria. We are italo dance producers and we are 20-years old. Johannes is our producer, Armin the DJ and Michael our Mastervoice. Since August 2005 we work together with Dominik “C.Y.T.” Cydlik and Roland Binder from ARC-Records. Maybe you know our actual track “Star”.

IDP: What music styles are you listening to other than what you produce?

Dancefire: At home we all listen to different styles of music like Hip Hop, Rock, R’n’B, oldies…

IDP: Who is/are you favorite artist(s)?

Dancefire: When we listen to Italo-Dance, our favourite artists are Gigi D’Agostino and Gabry Ponte, but we also like interprets like Bon Jovi or Shakira. It depends on the style of music.

IDP: What do you think is the future for Italo Dance music?

Dancefire: We think that such music of pure emotions and feelings will never die! Next summer, the situation will change, and we think that many people who listen now to other styles because they are ‘in’ will come back to Italo-Dance! Because Styles like Tech-House and so on do not last very long, but you will always be able to listen to original Italian style music in clubs and discos!

IDP: What do you like to do on your spare time?

Dancefire: We like going out with our friends, shaking in discos and having great fun at some parties! But there isn’t much free time, because we love to be in the studio creating new melodies and songs!

IDP: What are your plans for the future?

Dancefire: For the future we hope that we will be able to entertain many people with our music. But in the music-business you can’t plan much for the future, and so we hope that we will be able to make people dance in the clubs and just feel good. But we promise that you will hear new songs, ‘cause music is our life.

IDP: What news can you reveal for us about your future productions?

Dancefire: At the time we are producing two new songs. That means in future you can listen to a new track called ‘Only Time Will Tell’, and later to a song called ‘Hymn Of Life’. These tracks are very different but we won’t tell too much, because you will be able to experience it soon!

IDP: What do you think about our site (italodanceportal.com)?

Dancefire: This site is a very good idea, because it remains all the fans of italo dance that this music style is still alive.
