This album is a double CD album with a collection of some of the best Gigi tracks. The album will be released December 7th on ZYX Music and includes a total of 46 tracks, some of them never before released.

Guys I contacted Amazon UK & Amazon US, both say the product exists, Amazon UK told me a specialist will get in touch with me within 2 business days and Amazon US told me any product sold by Amazon is official so I guess the album exists and I really hope so

Plus 25 tracks on one single disc and 21 on the second means that it would be a mixed compilation again, just like the Ieri e Oggi's were.

It doesn't look very fake to me. There is a label, a shop to buy it and a release date. Can't get more real right now, we will have to see if I get the CD in December I just pre-ordered it
Considering ZYX Music's history of releasing Gigi, this album is very likely to exist. They have made an released new remixes and compilations with Gigi before, the have the copyrights for Gigi, so they can do whatever they like.

btw. it might not be the final tracklist ...I remember from the Italo Fresh Hits, that they posted "temorary" tracklists. Haiko who stood for the tracklist said they had to give a temporary tracklist ...so this could be as well.

Well because it is on the ZYX site I think it is definitely a real release, but probably the tracklist will change. I don't know how they will fit 25 tracks on 1 CD unless it is mixed or all tracks are 3 mins each.
Although...ZYX did only release "The Essential Gigi D'Agostino" I think at the end of 2010...so I don't know why they would do another 'Best Of' so soon...

For me it seems that Gigi's permission and contribution is strongly needed for such things, so he should know about this release...
@zeven1: You can put that much tracks on a CD easily, but they has to be less then 3 minutes long on average, or we are talking about an mp3 / data disc... :P

...raises too many questions, so let's hope for some answers soon!
It's a ZYX release, they have the copyrights to do whatever they like with Gigi tracks (more or less), taking a cover that already exists is much cheaper than making a new one and last of all: can Gigi ever have enough best of album?
The tracklist is not final, I'm 95% sure of that, a final tracklist would have artist names and remix titles.

I would be happier with a brand new EP / compilation with just the new tracks from this release - in extended, unmixed format - but at least finally it's a release, and possibly even with some new tracks on it...

If this tracklist - link here - is real, then it is clearly the "The Essential Gigi D'Agostino" (2009) from ZYX with just a new cover, the tracklist is 99% the same (except that Pioggia e Sole is missing from the end of CD1 in case of this "new release").

This is a the Essential Gigi D'Agostino published by Saifam Group set to be released on Nov. 13th! There's no artwork or tracklist but why publish 2 times the same cd with the same artwork? Hopefully will have a different artwork and hopefully more stuff

it's not a fake, but trust me, tracklist soon will change and will disappear all new/unpublished songs!

it's not false advertising because they written in big that it was a tracklist changeable/temporany... but in german! and anyone read or understood it... fucking stuff... only with gigi release from many years!
As I said before ZYX have copyrights for Gigi material outside Italy, so if they feel like releasing a best of album they can do that, without asking Gigi first. It was the same with the Essential Gigi best of, Gigi hadn't even heard of that release when it got out.

Actually IDP and some of our partners have investigated this question in the past, and what you say is actually not true, if you are willing to pay Gigi will gladly license his unreleased tracks for release.

I was talking about this current situation, not in generally - if the new tracks were really on this "Best of" disc, i guess Gigi should have know about the fact that he has already licensed them for ZYX / any other label (or maybe he forgot it, just like it happened with the "Stay With Me" digital release in the past?
).
[ The only possible case which could make the disc release as it is now (without removing the new tracks), if ZYX is just about to license those tracks (less then one month before the release date, which is very unlikely...) - so when Gigi wrote about it in the topic few days ago, he had no idea about the record company's intentions... that would explain the most. But i strongly doubt this is the case... ]

I mean 'everyone has a price', but is it really all just about the money in case of Gigi... ? We are talking about a perfectionist man, with a really unique point of view. I bet most of his unreleased tracks aren't totally finished / mastered yet (most of his tracks always remains "inedito")...
Btw, if you have reliable sources about that price thing, i think it's time to raise funds for some epic tracks like the Mad World remix!

Bluestar: we investigated it back in 2007 for a compilation, I don't recall the exact amount but it was something around 1000 Euro per track (no wonder no one has licensed tracks from Gigi since then..). Good luck with the fund raising though

I'm pretty sure Amazon can manage, it's one of the biggest mail order companies in the world. When a new Kindle comes out they get several hundred thousand orders just on that particular product, so a Gigi CD is probably not anything.
